The Big Half is back! The date has been announced for Sunday 1st of September!

A great route that starts by Tower Bridge and finishes alongside the Cutty Sark in Greenwich. The route is known as the first half of the London Marathon, but backwards.

Route:

This 13.1 mile race will take you on an out and back to Canary Wharf. On the way back, you will be running through the backstreets of Limehouse and Wapping before crossing over Tower Bridge as you head pass Bermondsey station and loop around Rotherhithe, Canada Water and Surrey Quays. The last couple of miles are through Deptford as you muster your energy with the crowds cheering you on for a sprint finish to Cutty Sark!

Interested? Contact your local GG Area Activator to ask about community places as if they have applied for them they should have received news now. The entries cost £15 each, which is so much cheaper than the standard entries that cost £56. You can get these from Let's Do This website here.

After party?

Yes, there is always an after-party to celebrate our achievements. The last two years, we had bookings at "Richard the First" and "The Mitre" courtesy of "Sarah Hornsey" from GG Greenwich. For this year? We just have to wait and see, but there will be a place where we can all celebrate as a group! Come back for updates!
