Mrs Ps tortoises needed the garden in front of their house cleared to make their path to bed a bit easier!

The 2 of them are 100 years old and still move faster than me! We had the pleasure of meeting one, whilst the other was sensible enough to stay out of the hot sun!!

I got to digging and weeding in front of the tortoise house whilst Judy dead headed the rose bushes that have been their since the 40s and clearing out the bordering beds.

We even managed to get a huge invasive shrubs out the way, although I went across the garden with it when the roots finally gave! It certainly didnt want to go without a fight.

It was a glorious day for the Picnic on the Green. Dave and I turned up to help the Milton Neighbourhood Forum take down the gazebos and tables.

Dave seemed to have a magic touch in dislodging tent pegs rammed into the grass, and with helpers at every corner, we very quickly removed the covers and dismantled the poles.

A quick litter pick, and carrying tables & chairs to load onto the van, and we were rewarded with a whippy ice cream to send us on our way. A good workout, doing good.
