Portsmouth
A huge impact as Mr A has been waiting a long time for this as he is unable to complete himself.

Managed to complete a second task for Mr A when I visited on Saturday.
Put a new fitting on the curtain rail and rehung the curtains

Brightly-coloured plastics and the snowy sprinkles of polystyrene made Tipner shore look extra festive.
But Jen, Dave and I wanted to return the beach to its natural seaweed hues, without the trash.
As always, we were amazed at what a few pairs of hands can achieve in 45 minutes.
Unfortunately, Tipner trash is all year round, not just for Christmas. Extra pairs of hands welcomed in 2026!

Admittedly, our volunteers were perhaps a little too short to assemble the ten foot poles at today’s task but it sure didn’t stop us from trying!!
In between various attempts to balance the heavy metal poles on ladders, our heads, and arms, we took a few breaks to practise our swing and hit some balls.
The task basically turned into a huge panic room style game of pick up sticks, and Batter Up owner Anna made sure we had a few mince pies to go along with the festive fun and games.
If at first you don’t succeed to assemble a batting cage, try, try again…? We’ll be back in 2026!

I visited Mr A to help with a loose handle that meant he couldn't easily close and open the bedroom door 🚪
Sadly the wood was torn in the screw hole so there was nothing to bite onto. But we found some glue and plugged the hole and put the screw in to let dry and set. Fingers crossed it does the job!
Mr A also needed a broken curtain rail fixing and I was able to complete that task for him as well!
2 jobs ticked off and merry christmas 🎄wishes dished out and I was off to the next GG session in the winter sun 🌞
