As some of us missed out on our Hogwarts letters, we weren't able to apparate or head to our task by broomstick this evening, so a gentle jog was in order.
Our task this evening was to empty out the planters and re-home the veggies in some plant pots until a new home for the raised beds can be found.
Our team of budding Herbology students could have done with some help from Madame Sprout, as identifying what was weed and what was vegetable was a bit of a challenge. Hence the confusion between Hogs Weed and Hogwarts, inspiring the run report this evening.
Richard, under the careful supervision of Mini-GGer Alice appeared to have cast a Geminio charm, uncovering an ever-multiplying harvest of potatoes!
Katie and Sammy were on strawberry duty and were able to salvage most of the plants. I would guess the Sorting Hat would put these guys in Ravenclaw, they had to use a lot of smarts to ensure they were saving the right plants! Sammy also discovered Professor Moody's missing eye and one of Aragog's babies in the soil!
Laura and Dave were on litter picking duties, and were able to use the new extendable litter pickers to Accio litter! with a summoning spell.
Hagrid would have been mighty pleased with our groundskeeping skills this evening, well done everyone!

4 goodgymers worked hard to make sure that those in need got a food parcel. We were short of a few items but not of good cheer or muscle power. Despite being out foxed by the mice our resident Cat in the Hat did yet another excellent job stocking, restocking, packing and unpacking the warehouse. Lucy used her professional know how to ensure everyone was safe and happy whilst Fiona tared and weighed like a pro!

Thank you to Sammy for mishearing part of a conversation on our run, as it's given me a new fave Run Report title! Especially as this task was found for us by the wonderful Judy!
There was a lot of digging, shoveling and shifting this evening as we moved heaps of soil from one side of the new community garden to fill planters on the other side.
Some engineering know-how led to the development of what should probably be trademarked as the GoodGym Pallet Ramp, meaning we didn't have to shovel the soil other end.
Abby's discovery of a plastic dolls arm in the soil caused much hilarity when it fell out of her pocket mid ramp move.
Great work by everyone this evening - that was a hard-core GoodGym task!!

Another busy day at the foodbank. A huge donation of custard creams and Easter eggs - and other far more boring and gratefully received staples like corn flakes and toothpaste! - was weighed and unpacked before we packed, weighed and carried packages for those in need.
