HIVE Portsmouth is a strategic partnership in Portsmouth consisting of a representative group of the voluntary and community sector, NHS Portsmouth Clinical Commissioning Group and Portsmouth City Council.
We work with local people, groups and organisations in a way that recognises and nurtures the strengths of individuals, families and communities and helps to build independence and self-reliance as an alternative to a reliance on traditional services.
We connect people and organisations to share, support and learn in order to meet the needs of individuals and are committed to working together with the objective of building a happier, healthier and more connected city.
20 GoodGymers have supported HIVE Portsmouth with 16 tasks.

Portsmouth Hive put out a request for Valentine-themed decorations for a Care Home, so we responded to the call.
There was some at-home crafting and a lunchtime MAKE session.
Plenty of love-themed crafting was the result.

In addition to doing my 58th parkrun and 34th location, I stayed behind to help with barcode scanning and event closedown, taking equipment to storage. This was my sixth parkrun in Hampshire.

I'm the warm snug Comfort of our dwellings little Goodgym elves made, wrote, coloured and created Christmas cards and decorations to be sent to local nursing home residents by the Hive. We then ran, walked, skipped and possibly elvishly flew them to the Hive to distribute.

The Hive were requesting shoe boxes, adult or children sized, wrapped in Xmas paper or not!
Also items to go in the boxes, a list of suggestions were provided.
So buying a roll of Xmas paper much earlier than I ever have before - I started wrapping boxes.
John & I got on with asking for donations - between us, family & work colleagues we collected quite a collection of toys, toiletries, hats etc. Our dining table soon looked like a toy shop!
We donated boxes & items separately as I think they will organise filling the boxes. John dropped off two bags last week & then helped me drop off the rest of the bags today.
We had such a lovely response from the staff when we dropped them off. I am sure there will a lot of children benefiting from everyone’s kindness.

5 GoodGymmers made the most of our state-mandated exercise this lockdown week by delivering leaflets on behalf of Portsmouth HIVE.
Vicki was the first of us to finish her round, despite having to collect extra leaflets after a distribution error on my part!
Katie and Jen were assisted on their drops by their little humans. Katie also managed a litter pick on her round, and some super pet-spotting!
Thank you to our other leafleters Rachel and Catherine for their efforts.
Go Team, the Locality Leads for Fratton are delighted with the help you've given!
