We had a last minute change of plans this evening as our pre-arranged task had to cancel. Instead, we headed to Kingston Rec for a bit of litter picking and graffiti scrubbing. Thanks to Nick for providing the sandpaper at short notice!
I'm not sure anything that happened during our task this evening is even publishable, so the report will be fairly brief. Dave set up for business in the younger children's play house and removed some anatomically inaccurate drawings, whilst the rest of Team Scrubber visited the tall slide and stripped the pole of personal phone numbers, names and various expletives.
Sinéad, Jane and Nia did a stirling job picking up litter by the light of just head torches.
Katie's key learning from this evening that WAP doesn't just mean Wireless Application Protocol. Everyday's a school day at GoodGym!

Three GoodGym Gals headed out for a quick pootle around Fratton this evening. Our run was to raise awareness of night safety for women in the running community.
Vicki tested out her new running light vest and Nia cracked out a Hi-Vis, thank you both for keeping us visible!
GoodGym are promoting night running advice for men, so we shared reflections from our own experiences.
Thank you ladies for giving me the motivation to get out for a run on a Thursday evening!

We welcomed Helen to her first GoodGym session this evening - great to have you along!
Helen got stuck straight in with the warehouse team, unpackaged trolley loads of donations from Tescos and stacking them ready for packing.
The other half of our team did their best Dale Winton impressions, dashing up and down rows to put together packages for individuals, couples and families.
It's amazing how much we got done in just an hour, and how many innuendos you can make too!

Portsmouth GoodGymers love a donation task! Particularly one that enables them to have a clear out at home! And this task meant that the Portsmouth Helps Ukraine volunteers will have plenty of boxes to fill with gifts for the next lorry delivery to Ukraine.
A huge number of empty shoeboxes were discovered in GGers' cupboards, wardrobes and under beds.
GGers delivered their boxes to collection points and Judy delivered 2 car-loads to the very pleased staff at Southsea Library collection point.
