Nia, Val and I enjoyed a glorious sunny morning by the Emsworth shore, with the Friends of Nore Barn Woods.
Nia joined the team already preparing for next Spring: sowing Yellow Rattle and native Bluebell seeds.
Val and I were with the path-clearing team: cutting back the vigorous brambles and nettles.
As always, there were plenty of thank-yous from passers-by, and a green woodpecker rattled out his thank-you from the trees.
Then it was time for the serious business of the AGM, gathered at the picnic bench, with welcome refreshments.

After some very wholesome plant-dealing in the FCC car park, we made our return to PARCS, this time to tidy up their front garden.
Nia and Maura met us at the task and had already cleared a significant amount of litter before the running squad had even arrived!
Katie was back as our bin-jumper-in-chief and Dave was so inspired he even had a turn at the end of the session.
I think there were new levels of euphemism reached this evening - I am genuinely impressed. Not sure there was anything quite PG enough for the Run Report this evening!
The team made swift work of pruning the hedge and de-weeding the driveway - I'm sure the team will be very impressed when they're back in the morning!

There was a very good turn-out today from GoodGym for Havant parkrun with a mix of runners and volunteers all helping to put GG Portsmouth on the Havant map. Well done everyone.
Every week at parkrun we hear the Run Director saying your PB can wait for another week and to stop and help fellow runners. I was surprised to see a fellow GG’er being helped back to her feet on the first lap. Poor Nia had taken a tumble and sustained cuts to her hands and knees. We walked back to the start where Dave took over with First-Aid and I completed my second lap. I hope you heal soon Nia.
Other than that it was a beautiful day for a run with a light breeze in all the right places. It was lovely to see everyone again. Thanks to Dave for the photos.

Big thanks to John and Dave for helping me after my tumble. Not quite how I was planning to promote GoodGym! My knees aren't quite so painful today so hopefully I'll heal soon and be back to conquer Havant parkrun!
