Another great lunchtime session making Bransbury Park that little bit cleaner! Had a fair bit of small litter in the train area and lots outside the cafe. Plus some fun antics shooting videos - how many GGers does it take? Lots! :-)
Great teamwork and we'll be back next month!

We helped marshal the pride parade! So proud to be part of both GoodGym and this wonderfully diverse Portsmouth community. Approx 3000 people took part in the parade. The biggest pride event in Portsmouth to date.

This may have been on of our weirdest Group Runs ever. We started our evening ferrying very light and very fragile neon lights down to Anna's car - which was a pleasant surprise as I thought Anna had said they were exceptionally heavy!
Whilst the neon were being gently driven to their new home in the Bridge Centre, the squad transported some of the enormous lanterns for the annual parade on foot. We certainly got a few looks, smiles and "what the f#£k"s as we paraded down Fratton Road with a collection of lanterns. To be fair, it isn't every evening you see a grown man half carrying, half wearing a giant papier mache swan, even in Portsmouth.
Thanks everyone for your help this evening, many hands certainly made light work!

I helped PRAS load boxes of reptiles into the car so they could go to a cubs and scouts activity where the children can see and maybe handle the snakes, monitors, skink, gecko, giant land snails and hissing cockroaches. There was about 20 boxes that needed picking up and taking to the car. The owner was pleased as it cut down time on her car

Jane, Tracey and I did a spot of lunchtime litter picking in Bransbury Park and surrounding areas. We will be doing this every month to try and make a difference!
As well as the usual, we also found a golf ball despite being nowhere near a golf course!! Lots of lovely passers-by thanking us and asking what we were doing. Two bags of litter collected, a lunchtime well spent!
