Our first festive task of this season brought a little bit of joy to plenty of GoodGymers this evening. We joined volunteers at Baffins Pond Association to put up the Christmas Decorations around the compound.
Everyone got in the spirit and there were plenty of super Christmas jumpers, hats and leggings on display.
Wilson's commitment to detail extended to all of the little statues in the compound who are now sporting very dapper Christmas bow-ties!
The compound looked absolutely fantastic by the time we were done - Christmas basically threw up over Baffins Pond this evening.

We joined Fratton Big Local for their annual lantern parade.
Our first job was getting all the lanterns lit up, which was an incredibly fiddly process. The lantern makers then started to arrive so it was all hands on deck to reunite lantern with maker, or hand out spare donated lanterns.
Teeny GoodGymer Felix had lots of fun giving the lanterns cuddles!
Aoife was given the giant FBL wearable lantern for the parade, and was supervised by Ellie in her now famous light up cape.
The rest of the team carried lanterns whilst trying to keep parade goers and excited members of the public on the allocated half of the road. Having the rolling road closure this year made the whole event feel bigger and safer for everyone involved, which was super.

We welcomed Helen to her first GoodGym session this evening - great to have you along!
Helen got stuck straight in with the warehouse team, unpackaged trolley loads of donations from Tescos and stacking them ready for packing.
The other half of our team did their best Dale Winton impressions, dashing up and down rows to put together packages for individuals, couples and families.
It's amazing how much we got done in just an hour, and how many innuendos you can make too!
