Report Title inspired by Katie's discovery that tinned peas can in fact go bad! Smells were smelt in the store room that will be forever burned into our nostrils.
The main team were working through shopping lists to pack parcels for singles, couples, small families and large families. Vicki was looking incredibly studious in her specs but was disappointed by the lack of clipboards. Harry was also very coordinated with their Tesco sweatshirt and trolley combo.
We also admired Jo's tremendous courgettes - Mel even took one home for tea!

A sunny evening spent at the beach, what more could you want?
Wilson's evening was made with finds of a 3 blue toy pieces and a cracker moustache!
Nick and Finnuala were wondering what to write in their Google Review of Tipner Beach.
Harry kept it safe, keeping their helmet on for the whole evening!
As the group spread out, some potent poos were found on the beach, inspiring the report title (sorry!). 💩
Thanks to Dave for bringing the litter pickers and the scales so we could calculate how much we collected.
Amongst the many bits of plastic we found socks (of course!), some carpet and a pair of glasses.
Well done to everyone for the clearing. We've definitely picked up a lot of litter from here during 2023.
Tonight's final total was 12.97kg of rubbish.

We joined Anna to help reorganise the FBL Store Room after everything was haphazardly chucked in during a room swap.
Our main challenge was man-handling the menagerie of giant Lantern Parade lanterns in and out of the room without damaging them. Harry was very pleased to be reunited with the owl they carried at last year's parade!
We also cleared out plenty of rubbish and recycling and by the time we left the room was looking organised and fit for purpose. Great job, team!

Once Foodbank had closed, it was all hands to the pump to pack down and empty the church hall of clothes, tables and chairs, crates and refreshments. With so many hands to help, it was done very quickly and efficiently by Finnuala, Harry, Lucy and Mel and the other volunteers. There was rather a lot of mess on the carpet this week, so Rob and Mel got the hoovers out and did half of the room each. Apparently, learning how to hoover was Rob's birthday treat today, no photo just video evidence! He did a great job for a first time and the Hall was left very tidy and clean. We were soon on our way and with no let up of the rain, guaranteed a wet journey home.

It was a wet start to Foodbank today, but plenty of people to help out. Finnuala, Harry, Mel, Ridley and Rob were out back re-stocking, making up crates and fulfilling toiletry requirements. Lucy and Pat were on the front desk making sure everyone got what they needed. We had a swaps table, some school uniform and lots of other clothing that was free to whoever wanted it. Lucy had made a delicious ginger cake and Pat and Rob had brought chocolate covered raisins and other goodies to celebrate the fact that it was Rob's (Lucy's Dad) Birthday today! Harry brought doughnuts and jam tarts, so we had plenty to satisfy any sweet cravings. Along with the refreshments and food items available to our visitors, foodbank had been given hundreds of packs of some very hot chilli crispy snacks which went down a treat and quite a few of the packs were happily taken away. It was a busy foodbank today and a lovely atmosphere with lots of chats, and enjoyment of the refreshments available.
