10 GoodGymers (and of course little Alice) met on the Eastney side of the beach for the first monthly Southsea Beach Clean of 2020! Some of us came from a chilly parkrun, some arrived a little under the weather from all of the holiday festivities and we had ourselves a Portsmouth Tourist - Sally from Camden! Great effort everyone for getting out there this cold morning!

As usual we were pleasantly in awe by how little litter there was on the beach, there were shouts of surprise if someone managed to find two pieces of plastic in a row (as the sightings were few and far between)! Jo found an unusual mermaid purse which sparked interest and a mini collection as others types were spotted. And Judy settled down to wrestle with some seaweed in order to collect a string of plastic - kudos for effort!

We ended in the Coffee Cup with rosy cheeks and cold hands to warm up with a cuppa, as usual! :)
