The first day of the Great British Spring Clean got off to a great start in Bransbury Park. We were joined by two fantastic mini Goodgymers who litterpicked very enthusiastically and two very cute dogs.

With 8 of us busy picking we cleared quite a bit of litter in our half hour.

Portsmouth GoodGymers are true community champions!

They do good even when they aren't doing GoodGym, as volunteers to local organisations or by spotting ways they can give extra to their community.

Jane & Yvonne had cat-company for their jigsaw testing.

The rest of us managed without pet assistance!

We checked whether the donated jigsaws were complete and returned them to MAKE to get some exercise after our sedentary task.

Portsmouth GoodGymers were motivated to run, walk or cycle wherever they were, and whenever they could fit it in.

On-island; off-island; or even in Ireland... the miles were eaten up and the Get Fit mantra was fulfilled.

It was a dogs life for Team GG this afternoon.

Helen welcomed us in the lovely winter sunshine with a list of jobs that needed doing. This was after Lady the dog had made sure she'd been given plenty of fuss and attention ❤️

Samantha, Tracey & Judy attacked the brambles round the back to make a nice space for the dogs to enjoy 🐶 Showing their bite was far worse that their bark!

Jen, Maxine & Val sanded and painted a double bench 🪑. Using big brain energy to leave the handles dry until it had been moved back into the shed. However, there was a ruff start when one of the handles received a bit of paint!

Yvonne & Lisa got to work on an old dog-eared cable reel . Painting and ensuring it didn't roll away! ✋️

And Dave channeled his inner Banksy spaying 🎨 primer onto some boxes that will be housed outside.

We ended the session with some ball play ⚾️ and love for the gorgeous Lady before we bid our farewells. We will certainly return in the future!
