Marking our first group run since the clocks went back and the darker evenings rolled in the team ran together to The Copleston Church and Community Centre to help out with a deep clean of the community kitchen and dining hall

Today we went to Tiny Forest in Peckham Rye to take part in their tree survey. We mainly recorded the tree heights and stem diameters, which is useful for the Tiny Forest project so that they can measure amount of carbon stored in the forests. We managed to measure 20 trees in 30 minutes.

Yesterday we went back to Cossall Estate to help Jackie. Along with newbie Dennis (welcome!), David, Daryl and Isaac met me at Old Spike, and we ran the 2kms there together. Richard was already at the community hall when we arrived, and Benjamin joined us soon after.

Jackie had two tasks for us, one which was to move things from one storage cupboard into another bigger one. And secondly, we continued scrubbing chairs which were stained from a flood. We managed to get both jobs done, before running back to Old Spike. Great job team! 🙌

We met at Old Spike and after a quick warm up we headed passed Peckham Rye Park and up to Dawson's Heights. We were met by James and set to work in the orchard. We had a successful evening clearing the undergrowth around the trees and James was very pleased with the amount we managed to get done.
