Inverted giant, the human embodiment of the Leegate Centre, sometimes with ‘decrepit charm,’ no longer worried about slowing down.

Today was a GG first for me - a successful joint visit with a Social Worker, to the lovely Ms S. Her ability to cope without support due to her MS has been diminishing rapidly. I’ve been using GG’s safeguarding processes to feedback my concerns.
(Subject to her manager’s approval) the Social Worker agreed a care package and a referral for sheltered accommodation. Ms S was so happy with the outcome.
I stayed on for a bit afterwards to bin some black bags and clear the fridge and surfaces of out of date food. For the first time in 2026, I left Ms S’s home full of hope.

I’m always on a Bargain Hunt for the lovely Ms Y, she realised last week that me making a detour to Mr Chippy near Grove Park station would be cheaper than the minuscule frozen dinners that she buys in bulk. The downside is that the chips made me feel hungry and it would be hours before I’d eat. As for the rest of the shop, it was pretty straightforward visits to the Co-Op and Sainsbury’s.

The lovely Mr J rang me up yesterday evening to tell me that he had a dead fox by his back door and could I help him get rid of it. I checked the process for disposal on the council’s website - double bag leave out front and report via the Love Clean Streets App.
It was an old fox that Mr J had been feeding for 20 years, I recognised it as I wrapped it up for collection. Mr J was incredibly grateful.
As for the shop, it was mainly fruit and vegetables from ASDA.

The first time I've been to the wonderful Wildcat Wilderness in Catford for ages. My task for the session was removing an fallen tree that was partially blocking a path, dragged down by ivy and decay. I was told that only hobbit could get underneath, but being smaller than a hobbit hadn't noticed it on my way in. It took ages but was eventually cut down and cleared away.

The difference in the lovely Ms D’s home since GG first started helping her to sorted out the chaos is quite amazing. She suffers with ME and the sheer amount of things in her home were overwhelming her and leading to falls. We aren’t there yet but the stairs, hallway and kitchen are no longer full of boxes and bags.
Today I hoovered the landing a stairs and then put a lot of Christmas stuff safely into the loft. This freed up a lot of space in the airing cupboard that enabled things on her bedroom floor to be re-homed.

A lovely afternoon as part of the regular session in the Therapeutic Garden at St Mary's pruning back a very overgrown honeysuckle and moving lots of soil for a new raised bed.
