Waltham Forest

Ah, December. Mulled wine, mince pies, and the delightful crunch of frosty leaves underfoot in London's prettiest forests. It’s time to explore the highlights of North/East (debatable) London's crown jewel: Epping Forest.

Starting from Walthamstow Central and ending up in Theydon Bois, you can see the 17k route here.

There will be two groups:

One led by Graham with a pace likely to average 5.30-5.45 mins/km and a 10 am start.

One led by Alix with a pace likely to average 6:30-7:00 mins/km (although everyone is welcome and we will go as slow as people want/need to!) and a 9:30 am start.

Details:

Meet outside Walthamstow Central tube station from 9.45 am for Graham's group. Important: if you’re aren’t there at 10.00, we won’t wait!

Meet at the same spot for Alix's group from 9:15 am for a 9:30 start. Equally, we won't wait after 9:30 as the idea is to get to the pub at roughly the same time! Important: If joining Alix's group, please let us know in a comment below so that Alix knows how many and who to expect for 9:30!

We’ll head to The Bull for Sunday lunch after. They've promised me there will be at least three veggie, vegan, and gluten-free options!
