hold onto that feeling.....

This morning's task was timed just right and not just for the task owner Ruby, who is committed to keeping on top of the gardening at Hounslow central mosque. But also for those of us who had signed up to help. It gave us a chance to help out and at the same time get to grips with the new national lockdown announcement. While we worked we talked through how we can keep in touch and keep our fitness and volunteering going over the next few weeks.

Eight of us helped by clearing the autumn leaves and weeding the front garden. Ruby chatted through her plans for the plants and ideas for fundraising to improve the space outside the mosque and keep children and young people connected during the national lockdown.

We filled several wheel barrows full before we were provided with the now infamous biriyani, and a few rounds of open air Charades, with Lucy, Emily and Salwa taking the prize collectively.
