With some very strong sea winds Belinda and I traded in the prom for Beach House park and grounds for our first, spring evening litter pick this year. We were joined by Pecan the pug who appreciated a few kms of sniffing and nosing around.
One hour later we had filled a bag having had a great catch up with each other too :)
See you next week

On a sunny Sunday Paul and Paula together with Hudson and I had a tidy up of our flowerbed on the seafront.
Following this we headed to the pier - what an ideal venue for interval training! Paul did an amazing 5 laps of the pier with escalating pace each time ranging from 2.50 mins to 2.19 He absolutely nailed this and completed the brief perfectly and has certainly set the bar high for next time !
on the way back we gave a cheer to Ricky who had just finished his half snickers training run ( marathon - in case you are wondering! )
it was a great way to finish a really lovely hour.
See you all next time

A great way to de- combat stress
10 of us came along to participate in the annual soldier walk which is a 4 km walk from the east of Worthing to the west and back gain...... ending at the pub!
It was lovely to see Rosalind Belinda Sue Sarah Barbara John Daisy Craig and Ryan walking and chatting and posing for photos at every soldier. Barbara seemed particularly fond of each soldier:)
When we got to the pub we were joined by Natacha, Tamsin and also Ricky who had bought cakes in celebration of his 100th different park run area (132 parkrun's in total) We spent a really pleasant hour or so chatting and catching up with our fellow GG buddies.
Wishing you and yours a very Happy Christmas and here's to a great 2024 in the planning ( or planking ) We will be kicking off the New Year with a daily plank challenge. More details to follow.Lots of fitness and tasks will be winging your way during the year too!
See you on the other side

Bringing the light into a dark evening
We a lovely moonlit stroll along the prom and around the pier it was a lovely start to the evening.
My team tonight comprised of Rosalind, Paul, Belinda and John
We swiftly raked and planted 30 + bulbs which Nick had kindly purchased for the GG flower bed.
Following that we gave a quick spruce up to another half a dozen or so of the other seafront beds.
A quick task combined with a lovely catch up with the team.
Same time next week - hope to see lots of you then.
