Tonight 10 GoodGymer's ran or cycled 6km to Pilling Park Community Centre.
It was our first visit to this venue, and we were there to support Lionwood Cycle Project - of which Jonathan is a member - who provide regular drop in bike servicing sessions.
The task was to clear a storage container of large unwanted items including 3 fridge / freezers, an ice cream box and hostess trolley! Using a sack barrow they were all moved to the front entrance, ready to be collected by the council for recycling.
Other items such as chairs and shelving will be reused or re-homed. So the task was over in a flash.
We will hopefully be back at this venue in the future to support the community cafe and other local groups.

It’s good to see young people wanting to help others enjoy the great outdoors & helping them with their wellbeing. 7 young people joined us in the park to enjoy 2k of enjoyment

Tonight 10 GoodGymer's joined 14 residents at Edmund Bacon Court to battle it out in a Quiz night!
We ran or cycled 4km to the venue, split into 4 teams for 4 rounds of Trivia, Nature, Pictures & Music intros!
It was a close run contest with answers being debated and discussed, even while we stopped for a refreshment break of tea & biscuits halfway through.
By the end it all came down to a final tie breaker - and after some slight confusion on my part - Mark provided the quickest correct answer for the 'Grims' Team. Their team name was an acronym of the individual participants). And between them they shared the winning bars of chocolate!
Well done everyone, and thanks again for a fun evening!
