Tonight, Helen took us on a muddy run to Bedford Fields where we met Beth who fed us mince pies & mulled wine which went down very well! Thanks Beth :)
We then got to work decorating the roundhouse with Holly,Ivy & other foliage. We got into pairs & had a competition to see who's was best but Beth was very diplomatic and said all were good which didn't satisfy my competitive spirit!
It was a lovely evening doing Christmas crafts & a great session to finish off the year.
Thanks for a great year all & Merry Christmas!

....And I know that I should let go but I can't... ' Foundations by Kate Nash :)
Today we started to dig up some concrete slabs to lay the foundations of the new potting shed. We dug out the beds to get them out, cleared the many woodlouse & carried them over to where the shed will be.
We then ate jacket potatoes & soup generously supplied by Beth...thanks so much!
It was nice to meet Jake at his first session today, welcome.

After a last minute cancellation, Beth at Bedford Fields stepped up and held a session for us tonight. We really appreciate it, thank you!
After a moonlit run across the ridge, we got to work. Helen and Rachel moved soil into bags, Kat & I litter picked & Analise & Lydia cleared many, many leaves from the entrance. We finished off by clearing and bagging leaves from the street leading up to Bedford Fields.
Well done to Kat on her 90th mission & to Rachael on her 80th tonight. You two are amazing, thanks for all you do for GoodGym Leeds!

Last night, at Bedford Fields, the team moved pallets and slates ready for the shed build on 1 Nov.
The main task that everyone joined in on was digging the soil from a 'dead hedge' that Goodgym and others have added to over several months. The twigs, brambles and leaves had composted down into a lovely rich earth. It was so nice, we gathered up more old vegetation to start a new hedge, ready to continue the cycle.
Good work team!
