After a last minute cancellation, Beth at Bedford Fields stepped up and held a session for us tonight. We really appreciate it, thank you!
After a moonlit run across the ridge, we got to work. Helen and Rachel moved soil into bags, Kat & I litter picked & Analise & Lydia cleared many, many leaves from the entrance. We finished off by clearing and bagging leaves from the street leading up to Bedford Fields.
Well done to Kat on her 90th mission & to Rachael on her 80th tonight. You two are amazing, thanks for all you do for GoodGym Leeds!

Last night, at Bedford Fields, the team moved pallets and slates ready for the shed build on 1 Nov.
The main task that everyone joined in on was digging the soil from a 'dead hedge' that Goodgym and others have added to over several months. The twigs, brambles and leaves had composted down into a lovely rich earth. It was so nice, we gathered up more old vegetation to start a new hedge, ready to continue the cycle.
Good work team!

On Tuesday evening, we collaborated with the Leeds Summit on Community Sport For Development and Diplomacy & held a GoodGym session for people attending the summit.
We headed up to Bedford Fields Community Garden to meet Beth for various jobs including a very satisfying one, pulling all the strings of hop off the cabin. We then hung the hop to dry so they can use it for beer making and decorations.
We also did some weeding, clearing and stick preparations!
It was great to meet everyone & thanks for supporting GoodGym Leeds!
A big thanks to Jason & Ivo for ensuring the runners got to where they needed to be.
Wed 6th Aug at 6:00pm
Along with two little visitors, tonight the group ran up to Bedford Fields to do various jobs including edge shearing, mulch moving and weeding. It was a big group so we made fast work & got lots done. The two little visitors enjoyed the run but not the gardening as much, but we made it work! They may stay at home in future! Great work all!

This afternoon, we met at Bedford Fields to do some planting but we ended up drying out the 6 gazebos instead, after all the rain last weekend. It was good timing as i got to borrow one for this week's picnic in case it rains. We did a bit of weeding and lots of chatting & Jubz made us all laugh as usual. Great to see you all :)

Tonight we headed up to Bedford Fields to meet Beth to do lots and lots of weed pulling. Nothing is more satisfying than pulling a load of sticky weeds with a rake! Lots of nettle stings later, we finished off by picking some raspberries and gooseberries, they were delightful! Welcome to 3 newcomers tonight, Basil, Yike & Manaswini, we hope to see you again soon.

Four GoodGymers helped out with the Green Fair in Woodhouse this weekend.
Laura & Lynn helped set up the marquees and Helen went along after the fair had opened to ride the Climate Action Leeds bike to power their juice stand.
Beth organised the whole thing! What a great event.
Good work team!
