Tonight 4 GoodGymers helped out OWLS in Headingley. OWLS stands for Older Wiser Local Seniors & this fantastic group envision a world where older people have the best quality of life and have involvement in their communities.
The GoodGym Leeds gang headed out to run to various addresses around Headingley & Kirkstall to ensure that the OWLS service users had their quarterly newsletter to inform them of what's coming up over the next 3 months.
It was a cold , dark night but the gang did an excellent job & kept up morale!
Good work everyone!

Tonight 8 GoodGymers met at Heart and had a run for half an hour which warmed us up nicely.
We then headed back to Heart to help them out by doing a deep clean of their nursery space, cleaning the toys, chairs, removing stains on the carpet and Kat took her shoes off and cleaned the climbing frame! We also dusted the hallways and the radiators. It was our first indoor task of the autumn & it was very much appreciated!!
It was great to see Heart so busy with many groups using the centre.
It was also really nice to welcome two newcomers, Nikki & Uzair. Welcome to GoodGym Leeds guys, we hope to see you again soon.

Tonight 7 GoodGymers ran up to Bedford Fields Community Garden in Hyde Park to chop up many, many twigs & branches in order to add them to the dead hedge on the border of the garden.
We then ran down to a residential street to do more....7 GoodGymers in a bin store, in the dark & rain....no rats though (thank goodness)! We know how to have a good time hehe!!
It was lovely to see Nessa at her first session and congratulations to Kat on your 50th mission! That's a great achievement!

Tonight the GoodGym Leeds gang headed back to Ash Road Residents to help finish off washing the Telecoms boxes & removing graffiti in the local area.
We were concerned that Adam wouldn't find us roaming the streets but thanks to technology he managed it!
It was lovely to meet Nisha on her first GoodGym mission; welcome to the madness Nisha!

Tonight 5 GoodGymers plus an honorary member went to help Ash Road Residents Association clean the beautifully painted telecoms boxes in the local area.
It was a physical task that involved carrying buckets around the streets of Headingley. We made a good start and will go and finish the rest next week.
It was my 30th GoodGym mission tonight, Helen and Katie are both at 119, Katie is on 43 & it was lovely to welcome back Jenny who's on 74! What a great achievement, well done everyone.
