On this cool, Wednesday evening, Fay and I helped out at the Stephen's House and Gardens during locking up time. Our host, the duty stewart Malcolm, greeted us and quickly explained our task. It was very straightforward - one of us had to ring the bell to let know the visitors it was closing time, while the other was in charge of the radio in case something needed to be reported.

Fay kindly let me do the former, which was quite exciting. It turned out the bell dated from the WWII, so I felt privileged to be carrying it around. What I also found was that it was quite heavy, thus putting the 'Gym' part in the GoodGym title. :)

After a short walk around the premises, Fay and I had let all visitors know that the park would be closing at 6pm. At the end, we felt grateful to be able to walk around these beautiful gardens with no one else to be seen. :)

P. S. The Stephen's House and Gardens have several upcoming events, so watch this space.:)) For more information: http://www.stephenshouseandgardens.com/events
