After some shuffling around, six GoodGymers were still able to attend this months Ceilidh, i knew buying extra tickets were a good idea!

It was Adam's, Billy's, and Katie's first social at this event with myself, Alice, and Erica returning.

This event took place inside this time so things were a little sweatier but just as much good fun. We've made friends with a bunch of regulars here now and brought together a bunch of our social circles so watch this very cute space!

Only calamities were traffic in arriving and then I broke someones glass but miraculously it landed straight up with all the broken glass inside of it. Was an expensive drink replacement... only me

We celebrated the 7th birthday of GoodGym Leeds by helping to tidy up the garden and outdoor space at Cardigan Community Centre. We split into groups and planted bulbs, weeded, pruned bushes, re-potted plants, and picked litter!

We then finished off the session with a birthday celebration, starring a gorgeous and delicious cake from Jason! Thanks Jason!! 🎉

Today I joined my first Leeds Good Gym session with the lovely Laura! We visited Bedford Fields, a beautiful community garden. I was very excited to see the Dye Garden, the Potting Shed that is being built, and all the fruit to forage!

We swept pathways, clearing the fallen leaves into the compost heap, and also weeded beds and borders.

We were joined by other Bedford Field volunteers and the Sun came out to make a very enjoyable afternoon!

12 Goodgymers completed an impromptu litter pick around Headingley for tonight's task.

Chloe found a hoover in the street, which might explain the rubbish found elsewhere underneath some carpet. What is wrong with people?!

There's no hiding anything from Goodgym litter pickers - we'll find your grot and grime! Everything was bagged up, and it was a nice strolling chat for everyone in the process.

One GoodGymer made his way to comedy (with a last minute friend!). Slight change in lineup which was a bit sad but the comedians for the night were still excellent!

We had a quick run on the ridge to MVF, what a gorgeous September evening too! Our tasks included the infamous compost turning, filled with the best convos and strategic layering of courgette leaves, compost and hay; some might say it was lasagne-esque. We also trimmed more courgette leaves and cleared tomato plants ready for more spring onions to be planted.

Our Laura has done 200 tasks (yay, well done Laura!) what an achievement! Jason gifted her with a bright, flower garland.

Our Sarah starts filming her film on Sunday! We can’t wait for it to come out on Netflix. Popcorn at the ready! Until next week :)
