My first GG community task this evening and what a lovely group of volunteers, new and old! Ed and myself were welcomed as newbies.
Getting to the riverbank to pull the balsam was a feat in itself, and the log clambering was a tricky business.
We were all armed with gloves and sacks to pull the pesky invasive plants. I heard shouts of 'ouch' and expletives from the group as the delightful nettles wanted to get up close and personal!!
My thanks to Ellie B for taking my 'swagger to the pit twice, and thus allowing me to escape the abductor log exercises!!
Roll on the next GG mission.
(from Egg.. sadly we did not take a single photo on tonight's mission, silly us!)

This will improve the access to a dedicated green space for autistic children and young adults . Many struggle to leave the home due to high anxiety. This wild place can give them to space to relax and garden with their families.
