Today, Helen and I picked 4 bags full of litter out of very prickly bushes in Seacroft today. We couldn't get to all of it without being scratched so we did what we could and made a good dent in it. Thanks for coming over this way Helen :)

Tonight Helen led a run from Heart up to Coffee on The Crescent, where we'd promised the owner that we'd litter pick in the local area when we helped him on Saturday.
I met the group there with bags & pickers & we got to task picking the lots & lots of litter around the area. We filled a whopping 14 bags full, not bad for 55 minutes. It just shows what a huge impact our team can have in a short period of time. Jason won the prize for most interesting find, a pair of boots!
Coffee on the Crescent gave us free coffee vouchers for the team which were much appreciated!
Welcome to Sreenu who joined us for the first time tonight, it's great to have you on board.

Last night two GoodGymers once again tackled the litter in Seacroft. It seems never ending but we'll continue to tackle it bit by bit.

After several changes in task this week, 8 GoodGymers still got together to run around 4.5K and to litter pick around the Hyde Park Corner area. We filled 8 bags with Christian & Katie being the champions and filling theirs the fullest! Car wheels and dead squirrels were found along with many, many cigarette ends.
A few milestones were reached tonight; Jason completed his 35th good deed & Christian & Shannen both completed their 30th! Well done guys & keep up the good work.
Thanks to Helen for another great run.

Tonight 9 GoodGymers met at Heart & got to work cleaning the nursery space. We're a dab hand at this now, so we got finished quickly & headed out into the rainy night to do a local litter pick filling nine bags! After this, Helen took us on a 3.5K run where we stopped to admire the star constellations which are due to align on Friday. Fingers crossed for a clear night!
Welcome to newcomer Kimberley & well done on your first run. Welcome back to Lloyd & Brandon. We hope to see you all again soon.

This weekend, two neighbours once again went back to the alley in Seacroft to tackle the piles of litter which has accumulated since our last pick. We went off in different directions, Bronwen did the road & I tackled the alley.
The alley is a real problem area with lots of litter in hard to reach brambles but I filled a bag and will go back to see what else I can do. Bronwen also filled a bag quite quickly.
Litter is a real issue in Seacroft but even if we make a small dent, it does make a difference for local residents.
