Marianne just completed a six month streak of doing missions. That’s so many bags of garden rubbish cleared and jobs done to help someone out and put a smile on their face. Give Marianne a cheer to encourage them to keep up the good work.

Farm Fridays!
GoodGymers met on a sunny Friday morning at Windmill Hill City Farm. Todays task consisted of weeding around a path and making it clearer for the public. Was lovely talking to everyone whilst doing some good. Have a lovely weekend everyone :)

Are you finding it hard to motivate yourself in the morning? Come and join us for a end of the week morning dose of goodness at Windmill Hill City Farm.
Early morning, fresh air, walking/running/cycling (or however else you travel), volunteering, animals (and people, if you like them - socially distanced of course) - what a great way to start your day!
Expect a decent workout for our arms and upper body ;)

A perfect evening for a run (or walk) over to Dame Emily Park for a tidy up. The runners took a longer route via the Plimsoll Bridge and The Other Bridge whilst thw walkers headed over Princes Street Bridge and Gayle Ferry Bridge as its now been renamed by Vaguely Northern Darren.
There were a fair few people in the park but the walkers met up with the Friends group and arranged bags and pickers for the impending arrival of the running group so we were soon off in small groups to pick up and sort recyclables and non-recyclables whilst putting the world to rights.
For the first time ever, by 7.30 we'd cleared the accessible areas of the park, skate park and swimming baths of litter and were combining our bags to leave three bags of recycling and three of litter for Bristol Waste to collect.
The blue sky made for great photos and warm GoodGymmers who headed back to Queen Square and on to workout for a cold drink on the harbourside, watching the rowing boats go by.

Willow help us move Woodchip in the Wet?

Unlike Wimbledon Centre Court, St Werburghs Farm gardens doesn't have a roof, but this didn't disuade Matt, Tim, Georgie and Marianne from helping out for an hour.
We first moved a willow fence, that become more of a trip hazard than an actual barrier, then we covered some plants to protect them from flying birds whilst the rain kept flying down at us. After this we moved to shifting some woodchip to protect the corguettes and sheering away at the long grass to make the garden a bit more manageable.
Great work all, Zeus would be proud
