Merry Dip-mas

Nine GoodGymers gathered for the winter solstice 'sunrise' to celebrate the official start of winter - by throwing themselves (or just their feet/ legs) into the Solent. The air temperature was about 6c so the water was, in theory, probably warmer.

Most were impressed by the length of the dip this year (not just running in and out screaming), aided by some wetsuit booties and gloves - and a fetching swimming cap with chin strap modelled by experienced winter swimmer .Angela The hard part was getting dressed! Much fun was had as always, and all underwear was eventually located.

Extra points to Jen and Ellie, who were heading straight for a 9am good deed packing Christmas Hampers at St Margaret's Church. Well done all!
