Lots of hardy goodgymers braved the cold, wind and rain to help with the annual British Heart Foundation Chase the Pud. This year there were two races again, a shorter 3k chase the mince pie and the linger 10k chase the Pud. Vicky had been working hard to organise the event and her and Neil arrived early to check the course. David and Pete also arrived early to set up the signs around the course. Amy and Nicky had a busy hour getting everyone registered and Santa outfits handed out. Rich, as the mince pie got the 3k runners warmed up and then set off with some very eager younger runners chasing him. Claire, Jenna, Ed and Pete marshalled around the course to ensure everyone stayed safe. Leanne, Barbara and Laura ran the water and snack station which was mostly only used at the end. The chunky kitkats were particularly popular with the chilly wet finishers. The mince pie was caught this year by three speedy young runners but the pudding managed to outrun all of the 10k runners. Neil and David did a final sweep of the course to retrieve the signs and then everyone went home to thaw and dry out.
