The Running Out of Time climate relay is an ambitious non-stop relay from Ben Nevis to Big Ben to highlight the impact of climate change and call on decision makers to take action.

People from all over the UK will be running, walking, cycling, kayaking, climbing, wheeling, swimming and surfing the baton 2,436km across Britain for 29 days to supercharge awareness, celebrate great climate work and inspire action.

GoodGym is a key partner of the relay and is calling on all GoodGymers to get involved. There will be sessions happening all over the country.

Parliament Hill Fields Athletics Track to St Andrews Youth Club

This stage of the relay will take the baton from Parliament Hill Athletics Club in Camden to the St Andrews Youth Club in Westminster. It's an 8.5km run and they aim to complete it in 55 minutes.

You can see the route here

This will be a led run with everyone running together.

The run will start at 17.15 and we will arrive at the youth club at 18.10.

We plan to stay at St Andrew's Youth Centre for aroud 50 minutes, meeting some the children you use the centre and watching the 2nd half of the Euro 2024 England Vs Denmark match.

How to sign up

To join the relay you'll need to sign up on the Running Out of Time website. You can also join the GoodGym team as part of the relay. Sign up here.

Each leg of the relay has it's own dedicated web page with all the details. Once you have created an account using the link above you can sign up to as many legs as you like. Sign up for this leg here.

The Running Out of Time relay is a mammoth undertaking. This year they are adopting a ‘pay what you want‘ approach. There’s no pressure to pay – everyone is welcome and the more people who take part, the more impact we’ll all have. However, we are a group of volunteers and have substantial costs to cover. So, if anyone is able to pay an entrance fee, then thank you for doing so.

Thurs 20th June - make a night of it

Following this run we'll be heading from St Andrews Youth Centre to the Southbank Centre to complete a task on their roof. Then we'll be heading for some drinks. Sign up for the other sessions here:
