Who this task will support
Hestia Good Energy Club
Hestia’s Good Energy Club is a community engagement public health project designed to engage people living in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, who live with a diagnosis of mental illness and/or low levels of mental well-being, in physical and social activities. The aim is to increase physical fitness, improve mental health and decrease social isolation.

Hestia's mission is to support as many people as possible who are struggling with their mental health. Having access to a clean, safe, and welcoming environment is essential to delivering this support effectively. Currently, maintaining a clean and suitable space can be challenging due to various limitations. Improving their facilities will create a more comfortable and dignified setting for their members, which in turn will enhance their sense of well-being, motivation, and engagement.

Hestia's premises covers a large area of approximately 19,000 square feet and include multiple rooms such as the reception area, conference hall, lounge, and other shared spaces. All areas require thorough cleaning, including hoovering carpets, dusting surfaces, and wiping down chairs and benches.

Hestia will provide all essential equipment needed for the task, including masks, gloves, aprons, spray, and cleaning cloths. GoodGymers just need to come along ready to help, with the amazing energy and positive spirit you always bring!

We will be meeting at the Quaker Centre for 6.30pm and will run 3m to Hestia. The entrance is between the gorilla statue and the back of the United Reform Church on Eden Street. The address is: Hestia, 3rd Floor, Millennium House, Eden Street, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1BL We will get there for approximately 7pm if you need to meet us there. We will be doing a 2km run back after the task ends. We also have a walking group so please join in if you have an injury or don't want to run this evening. It's a great starter group!

We will be going to The Albion for our March social after the task so please join us from there from 8.30pm.
