"On a sunny Saturday morning, I made my way to Mr P's. The sun had fooled me I'd worn shorts and a T-shirt thinking it was warm ! , but it was windy, so proper windchill. Still, it didn't take me long to warm up on the bike. A four-mile ride, so eight total round trip. Mr P wanted the weeds pulled up and the soil turned over, so I got straight to work after meeting him and having a quick chat and introducing myself . Over the next hour and a half, I got the weeds yanked, dragged the brown bin round, and chucked the waste in. Mr P made me a coffee a decent workout for a Saturday morning. He's happy with the weeding. There's a bit more to do round the front of the house—can head back next week to get the rest done .

Mr B needed his LED lightbulb changing in his living room. A quick trip up the ladder to change the bulb, left Mr B a happy chappy!

Eight Coventry Goodgymers ran, walked and cycled to Clothing Coventry for our monthly task at the charity.
This week, our task was to help sort donations that were suitable for a clothes sale for Clothing Coventry to raise essential funds to continue to stay open. We had a lot of fun sorting clothes into different brands and sizes and putting them on hangers ready for the sale in April. Same time again next month?
Welcome Mohamed to GoodGym Coventry and well done on your first good deed of many we hope!

Tuesday 10th March—six Goodgymers turned up at Colliers football ground for round two of painting and scrubbing. Jane, John and Paul from the Coventrians were already there, cracking on with various jobs. Nigel, Lucy and me grabbed the overalls and went full painter-mode on the changing rooms and toilets. We are not quite Lawrence llywellyn bowen and crew but we have Nigel and he was cutting in the ceilings like a pro, while Lucy and I rolled everything else ! !. Lil, Georgia and Jackie smashed the cleaning: sweeping, bleaching showers, the lot. And the Dogs Lillie and Derek were wandering about like they own the place, as usual. Loads left to paint, so we'll be back soon. Proper good effort ,nice one! 🙌"

Tuesday 24th February, five Goodgymers rocked up to Colliers football ground in Kersley End, Home of the Coventrians FC. I biked it up a good uphill work out ! The road closure didn't slow us down too much as Laura, Lucy, Sharon, Nigel, Matt and I made it there. To meet Jane and John who put in a lot of work to keep the place ticking over. Tonight's tasks: painting the changing rooms and clearing the trophy room. Four of us opted for the painting Laura and Lucy got the proper gear, overalls an’ all. Matt and I were on the cutting in, while Laura and Lucy were on the rollers. Getting as much done as possible, cos it'll need a few coats!
The dogs Lily and Derek were there again, and Lily doesn't care what you’re doing—she’ll drop her tennis ball anywhere for you to throw. But being inside that wasn’t going to happen, especially with paint around. Luckily no dogs got painted! Nigel and Sharon got busy on the cleaning, dusting down the trophies 🏆, wiping shelving, tables, and giving the floors a good old sweep. John, Jane and Paul have been doing loads there, but still need ongoing support to keep the place tip-top for the community. So Goodgym will visit again on the 10th March. Great work everyone 🙌
