6 GoodGymers met at Carriers of Hope tonight – Georgia, Lucy, Lil, Marcelle, Frank and me. Great to see Marcelle again, and lovely to have Frank back after he’d turned up a night early by mistake (bless him 🙏).

We were greeted by Andrew, who got us set up for sorting, weighing, sealing and packing lentils. Last time we were weighing out flour and had a lot of fun – this time it was all about the pulses. There were different wonderful colours and types of lentils and rice to work with. We unloaded everything into boxes, measured it into bags, heat-sealed them and packed the bags into crates. Once we’d been given our various jobs we got stuck in a few minor mishaps with the heat sealer 😂 and quality control from Lil on making sure we sealed perfectly straight lol We managed a good few crates. No bean about it – a satisfying evening’s work!

Last night we went to the Coventry Vision Hub to help with various tasks. James and Lee (on his first session) washed the windows. Suzanne hoovered and then helped Lil and Laura with the clothes steaming. And Manjit cleaned the carpets. A great evening was had by all!
