21 Runners rand 6km to get to the Hub to help with the painting, cleaning and decorating tasks.

It was great tonight to meet new runners Ria, Kate, Victor and Jim. Having navigated our way through the streams of pedestrians and avoided bikes, we made our to the hub, where Emma played her two roles of runner and task owner and introduced us to the tasks for the night. Teams were dispatched to assemble coffee machines, sweep the floor, decorate walls and floors, clean windows and decorate the surroundings with fairy lights. There was even a last minute, decoration of the mirror group ;) The commitment to clean the windows properly, thanks Victor, was exemplary. The ability to spread the floor paint so as to cover as large an area as needed was impressive. The dedication to ensure that coffee can be brewed is above and beyond the call of duty. Good Gym Oxford, you are an awesome group. Having completed the tasks, we ran back to the start location and completed our stretches. A group of dedicated GoodGymmers also went to the pub to celebrate Aoife's birthday with cake- enjoy the rest of your celebrations Aoife. Look out for the volunteering at Junior parkrun Community Mission this weekend as well as next Wednesday's task. Thanks for having me. Li z
