Doing good is not locked down! Caring for our communities is not locked down!

9 nimble GoodGymers took on this Community Mission, together but apart. A team effort, completed solo.

Well, not quite solo. Some of the team worked with people in their bubble, while Mat and Tim enjoyed a socially-distanced outdoor meet-up. There were also doggos involved with Pauline's two pups assisting her litterpick in a local woodland and my own Penny-Flo "helping" Emma and I in L8, (although she probably thought it was the worst walkies ever!).

Jo and Roz headed to the lovely Calderstones Park, while Becky S.. took on an area of Sefton Park and Lark Lane. Will got his housemates involved to clean up their local area.

Emma and I spent an hour within 1km of our house, collecting 2 giant sacks of litter. This included counting 24 disposable face masks and heaps of disposal gloves. While wearing masks is super important, disposing of them properly (or better still, wearing a reusable one) is also important. PPE seems to be the most popular litter these days :(

Matthew and Tim managed to collect six bags worth of rubbish from near where Tim lives. If you were to multiply that by every area of open land and street in the country, how much litter have we dropped in this country? All we can do is what we can do and despite lockdown, 9 GoodGymers made a small difference to the streets and parks of Liverpool.

Well done everyone! Still a dream team, despite these challenging circumstances.

Join me next week for a virtual fitness session to stay connected and keep fit during lockdown. Find out more and sign-up NOW then invite your housemates/family.
