Underpass, overhill, plogging for free
The Goodgymers of Oxford City are we
Responsibly disposing of the things that we find
Things that the everyday folks leave behind

Goodgymers are organised, work as a team
GGymers are tidy and GGymers are clean
Underpass, over hill, plogging for free
The Goodgymers of Oxford City are we

People they notice us, all in red Ts
Under their noses a GGymer may be
Plogging by night and we volunteer by day
Looking for litter to trundle away

We're so incredibly utterly dedicated
Picking up everything
Even bike tyres and chairs
Scoop up the pieces and disposing into bins
Is what we do

Maybe we aren't quite the Wombles, but with shopping trolleys, a picnic chair, bike tyres, and 5 bags of rubbish collected around Mortimer Road, The Oval, and Rivermead Nature Park, I'd say we're running them a close second.

In future we'll be more careful about scooping tracksuit bottoms off the river bank eh Bethan?! Turns out discarded clothes aren't always abandoned - sometimes they belong to swimmers in the River Thames who are alarmed to see them being picked up by zealous litter-pickers!

Congratulations to Emma for completing her 10th Good Deed with Goodgym tonight, and welcome to Angus, Jake, and Nell who all joined us for their 1st Goodgym experience. Hope you'll be back again soon!
