The secret garden is located on the D’Eynsford Estate in Camberwell.

D’Eynsford is a Southwark Council housing estate built in the 1970s with a mix of flats and houses, including sheltered accommodation for the elderly and a temporary accommodation hostel. Like London and Camberwell as a whole, D’Eynsford Estate has a vibrant makeup of multicultural residents of differing age groups, ethnicities, and backgrounds.

The idea of a Community Garden arose as a way to generate greater community cohesion on the estate and as somewhere to relax and enjoy ourselves, as well as making new friends.
