Teams, your mission is to go into local businesses and spread the word about "Along the Coast" - music, food and fun on 18th June.
Team 1 took Southsea and a run visiting Castle Road and the surrounding areas.
Team 2 took Fratton walking down to the station on one side of the road and back up on the other.
Almost all local businesses were happy to point us in the direction of the community board (who knew Wetherspoons had one?) or take some of the leaflets for the counter tops.
We reconvened back at the start location 1 minute before our agreed deadline. Great work by all.
Photos will be uploaded when the website allows...

A dual task in sunny(ish) Southsea this evening.
Half the group finished off the flyer delivery for "Along the Coast" (If you want to join in the fun on the 18th June, we'll be meeting up at the event). We had a secret weapon in the form of Sammy who was amazing at running into venues & persuading them to take some leaflets. Jen & Dave had done an excellent first round of the cafes & other earlier opening places and we even spotted some of the flyers on display.
Judy led the other half of the group who litter picked round Waverley Road park. As far as I understand, most of the conversations cannot be reported but a lot of core strength had been accumulated from the belly laughing. Neighbourly good deeds were done, GoodGym was well advertised, an old spirit bottle was rescued from a tree and many cigarette butts were collected.
We managed to finish up our efforts at almost exactly the same time.
Great efforts all round by the team.

3 GoodGymmers acted out their best kite impression in the winds of Southsea. Handing out and posting flyers for a music and food festival on Castle Field this summer. After visits to the Briny and Pyramids centre, Judy headed off into Palmerston and Marmion Road whilst Jenand Davewandered up to Elm Grove and Albert Road before a stop for refreshment!
