Elanor and Daryl meet at the Brewhouse for the short run to the Care Home for tonights Quiz which was kindly written by Caprice who could not make tonight(but she did leave me with the same question twice which was fun).Once at the Care Home we meet Chole and James Once inside there was Balloons and banners up as it was Jess's Birthday she is 102 which is amazing and she only looks 50 The quiz went down very well they all enjoyed it as it tested there General Knowledge. The top team this time was The Wanted with 21 out of 30 the Lose Women came second with 17 I look forward to seeing you all next week at Hope Housing.

Daryl and Ross meet at the Brewhouse for the short run to the Care Home,once there we meet the rest of the team as we all like our monthly visit to the care for the quiz.Daryl was the quiz master for a change this month there was two rounds of twenty questions each round,Ross and Katie joined one team,the Brains of Britain, Emma,Chole,Milly and Sophie joined the other,The Seagulls.The rounds consisted of General Knowledge and True or False.The winners by one point was the Seagulls who scored 30 out of 40 ,the Brains of Britain where close runners up with 29. It's that time again! Our favourite task of the month, GoodGym's Quiz at Abbeyfield Retirement Home! We were joined by newbie Mary for the short run to the task. Welcome Mary, we look forward to seeing you at some more group runs in the future! The Group Runners, Mary, Eleanor, Daryl, Caprice and Ross were met at the task by Sophie, Milly and Emma. The groups split into three teams, James joining his favourite ladies, "The Loose Women" , Daryl Eleanor, Mary and Ross in team "The Famous Six Go Large" (there was five but were joined by late by Janet) and Sophie, Milly and Emma in Team "No name". With this month's quizmaster being Caprice. Four rounds of good old General Knowledge as requested by the residents, with some True and False and multiple choice thrown in for good measure. This week's winners smashed it with a whopping 28/39 "The Famous Six Go Large" Well done to you, the sixth team member clearly made a mark! We will return for Quiz night on 11th March!! We hope to see you there!

Daryl and Caprice met for the short Group Run up to Abbeyfield, it was a chilly one, so much so it started to snow!! Chloe, James and Ross were already waiting and it wasn't long until we were joined by Janet.

With just three teams this evening James joined The Loose women, Daryl Joined The A Team and Chloe, Ross and Janet Joined The Winter Winners. And of course leaving Caprice as the quizmaster for this evening.

Tonight's quiz consisted of four rounds. Round 1 - General knowledge Round 2- True or False Round 3 - Solve the Riddle Round 4 - Who are they?

With some very tricky ones this evening the teams battled it out. The Riddles were challenging but this didn't stop The Winter Winners snatching the win. This evening they scored a whopping 27/40. Congratulations you clever bunch!!

What another great night at Abbeyfield Retirement Home. This time we were lucky enough to be invited to Christmas Curry night. We were even spoiled with a cheeky drink (or two!!) We welcomed newbies Chloe and James, it was great meeting you guys and we hope that you will join us again on another Group Run. We were also joined by Sam a Bournemouth University Student who came to film the evening and it certainly added to the madness!! Before the quiz, GoodGymers Daryl and Katie helped draw the Raffle with some great prizes up for grabs. After the raffle it was a full house for the quiz with quizmaster Daryl putting us through our paces. Some tricky christmas trivia but snatching the title was The Loose Women. Well done to them, the brainy festive bunch! It was such a great turn out tonight, thanks to Katie and Eleanor for taking some good action shots. 10 goodgymers made their way to Abbeyfield Care home for our monthly quiz. It was Janet’s first time as quiz master and there were rounds on Remembrance Day, 50 (as Janet recently completed her 50th mission) and general knowledge. The multiple choice round on the theme of 50 proved tricky but lots of points were scored in the final multiple choice round. The Coasters Team won with 24/30, closely followed by Loose Women with 23/30 and Dream Team with 21/30.
