Two GoodGymers met Karen from Friends of the Earth and set about cleaning the windows and bike shelter.
We wiped, scrubbed and rinsed until it was sparkling clean! We then swept up the debris and put it in the compost.

Tonight Miriam and Richard embarked on a sunny evening plog along the River Rea (hence the pun!/pronunciation guide to non Brummies on the river name)
Once we reached Cannon Hill Park we were assisted by the loveliest kids who helped us and enjoyed using the litter pickers. 7K ran and a bag of rubbish collected and an ice cream pot seized from a squirrel.

Tonight it was great to welcome Gemma to GoodGym for the first time.
The task was a litter pick on our adopted stretch of the canal.
We managed 2 half full bags of litter in double quick time.
Both of us were walkers tonight bumping into a couple of Villa fans on their way to the big game against PSG tonight, hence the pun!
Once done we headed back to 1000 Trades and a good 2 miles walked.

On a lovely warm sunny morning Jonny joined the Friends of Perry Common Meadows to help out at the Tiny Forest at Perry Common Meadows.
The task was a litter pick. Jonny joined Martin as we did a litter pick around some of the perimeter of the meadow. We filled a big bag quite easily even finding a football!
Buttercup the dog was of great assistance and certainly enjoyed her day out in the spring sunshine.
The next session at the Tiny forest is on Saturday 26th April so please come along if you can :)

Tonight we had a lovely new task at a nursery school near Birmingham city centre.
Jonny and Christina arrived on their bikes, while the rest of the group ran or walked.
Laura, the school's headteacher greeted us and the task was to sand the greenhouse and the 'story book chair' before getting the Ronseal creasote out, hence the pun! Do you remember the advert?!
Christina did some weeding with a spactula which she mentioned was a first! Jonny, Miriam and Eve did some sanding, while James and Amy cresoted the greenhouse, with Miriam and Christina sorting the story book chair.
Now please take a look at those fantastic before and after pics :)

Two goodgymers made their own way to the Friends of the Earth warehouse in digbeth and helped Karen tidy up the front garden. We used shears and clippers to give the plants and trees a good haircut!
