Lambeth Report written by Yianny (he / him)
Big squad energy at GoodGym Lambeth this evening ๐ช๐ผ โ bumper turnout, loads of new faces, and our regular crew bringing the vibes as always: Katie, Ben, Jo, Marie-Noelle, Dan and AA Yianny holding it down. ๐พ
And the warm welcomes donโt stop there! A massive GG hello to newbies Romi, Ark and Zain ๐ฅณ โ you survived your first session, youโre basically family now! And a special shoutout to Libby, who came back for another GG fix ๐ โ once is a taste, twice is a habit, youโre one of us now!
Tonightโs mission: Windmill Gardens, helping the brilliant Jean and Annick tackle a jungle situation. The plastic fencing was holding back a weed invasion that had basically adopted the new whips as roommates ๐ ๐ฟ, so out came the fence, out came the weeds, and back up went the fence โ teamwork makes the fence work! ๐ง There was litter picking, Ark got hands-on with watering duty ๐ฆ, and a serious amount of compost-worthy greenery got sent off to start its next life. โป๏ธ
Bonus plot twist: Jean let slip thereโs a spot of Shakespeare in the park next Friday ๐ญ โ not an official GG outing, but โto GG or not to GGโ might just be the wrong question when thereโs culture on offer. ๐ฑ๐คฉ
Brilliant effort all round, Windmill Gardens โ see you next time! ๐โโ๏ธโค๏ธ

Despite the weather doing its best impression of a furnace, an awesome crew turned up undeterred this evening: Dan (more on him in a moment), Tilly, Katie, Fi, Libby and AA Yianny ๐ช๐ผ๐พ.
Huge welcome to Libby, who heard about GoodGym just ONE HOUR before at work and decided "yep, sounds like a great way to spend a sweltering Tuesday evening" โ first session smashed, no regrets (we hope) ๐. And a massive shoutout to Dan, who hit his big 5-0... tasks that is, not earth years, so still very much in his prime ๐๐ฅณ.
Tonight's mission: helping Alex and the residents of Huggins Corner Park get on top of their stone paths. We spread stones, cleared the excess, and shipped the surplus off on a road trip to the community planting garden and Palace Road nature garden โ basically a stone relocation service, minus the removal van ๐ชจ๐.
It was hot, it was heavy, and frankly our biceps have never been more "gneiss" ๐ . Rock-solid effort all round ๐ฑ๐คฉโค๏ธ โ see you at the next one!

Lambeth Report written by Katie Allan
The sun was shining and there was a bumper turnout at the Community Healing Garden this weekend. Four green-fingered Goodgym gurus (Nehal, George, Michael and Katie) joined three local legends (Hannah, Sharon and Thallis), and the boss man Hugh.
Between us we tackled lots of weeding and watering; planted out squash, pumpkins, courgettes and sunflowers from the greenhouse; and filled new planters with soil from the compost heap.
We were rewarded for our efforts with tea, doughnuts, and a lively chat about the best Lidls in South London (don't tell anyone but it's the big one on the Old Kent Road!)

What a Tuesday evening to be alive โ and running! We had a gloriously large group join us tonight, with perfect weather rolling out the red carpet for our feet. Lacing up alongside regulars Fi, Jo, Michael, Ben, Tilly and Katie, we were thrilled to welcome back Rich and โ making his Lambeth group run debut โ the legendary George! ๐พ๐ช๐ผ First run done, George. Thereโs no going back now.
With an extra spring in our step (and an extra 3.6km each way to justify the post-run snacks ๐ ), we set off on a slightly longer route than usual โ and the group ate it up like it was nothing.
Our destination? The Weir Link, who were absolutely delighted to have us back. And honestly, the feeling was mutual โ because when we arrived, the tools and equipment were already waiting for us in the bin shed, like a beautifully organised welcome gift. No faff, no fuss โ just straight to the good stuff. ๐
Front and back, we got stuck in clearing out weeds and leaves to give the centre grounds a proper spruce-up. The weeds didnโt stand a chance against this lot. What they thought was job security turned out to be a very short-term contract. ๐๐ฑ
Big love to everyone who came out and gave their evening โ and their knees โ to make Lambeth a little greener. The Weir Link were over the moon to have us, and it shows just how much this community cares. โค๏ธ
See you on the next one! ๐
