We headed out in dry, crisp conditions to help Tom from Lambeth Parks finish what we started at St Matthew's Peace Garden. Peace, quiet and a LOT of weeds. 🌱

The task was simple: edging, scraping and bagging up the grass and weeds from the paving. This time we had ALL the tools, including half moon edgers, shovels and brooms, while Adam turned up tooled up with hand edging tools. 🛠️ Absolute edge lord. 🥳

Ben, Katie, Tilly, Jo, Adam, Rich and Nicole (who may or may not have joined the task on her broom and made it a full bouquet of volunteers 💐) really did dig deep, and we left the paving looking so sharp it could cut. Nothing was left to chance, or to moss. 😱

A lovely evening for a run, with fun friends to share it with. Tilly brought baked goods to console our AA, who lost his namesake in Bake Off. Incredible as ever, Tilly, you absolute whisk-taker. 🧁 Another great task well done! 🧰❤️

It was also the end of month social, and we put our pub quiz winnings (a voucher, no less) to good use with a karaoke night. 🎤 RJ made his debut in his shiny new GG shirt, looking fresh off the press and ready to belt out a few tunes. 👕✨ What happens at karaoke stays at karaoke… 😉 but wonderful scenes were had. 🤩🍾

We headed out in a light drizzle with our friends from Holy Trinity, and it turned into one of our longer runs as darkness fell. 🌆 Nobody was dampened (spirits, that is). 💦

Tonight was prep for our screening of the People's Emergency Briefing in a few weeks' time. We pounded the pavements and flyered the neighbourhood to get locals excited and signed up. Honestly, we really did leaflet it all out there! 🥳📄

Another week, another crew of Lambeth legends lacing up for good! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ We set off from Papa's and ran to Windmill Gardens, where the weeds had clearly been plotting a takeover. 🌿😱

Our heroes Ben, Michael, Jo (who led the session ❤) Dan, Fi, Tilly (who baked!), Rich, RJ and Adam rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in. 💪🏼 There was weeding (we really got to the root of the problem 🪴), manual work (we nailed it 🔨), and general sprucing (we left the place looking trashy in the best possible way 🗑️✨).

Special shoutout to Dan, who dug so deep we think he found Australia. 🦘 Fi and Jo tackled the tasks like they owed them money 💸, and Ben, Michael and Adam had to share a teeny tiny pumpkin which didn't turn into a carriage. 🧰

Hats off to the whole team for being absolutely un-fork-gettable. 🍴🌻 Waterworks allotments is looking thyme-lessly gorgeous, and the community will love it! ❤️

We headed out on what might have been the last evening of the Indian summer to Holy Trinity, one of our longer runs as darkness fell. 🌅🏃‍♀️

Our crew of Yianny, Ben, Michael, Katie, Jo, Fi, Adam, George and Nicole were thyme-ly arrivals (herb puns, anyone? 🌿). On arrival we met the walking and hill running crew (nice one, Fi 👏⛰️) and got cracking, helping Nicole, Adam and Naome with lopping, chopping and edging the paving areas. We really branched out with this one! 🪓

We had our head torches out for the first time in yonks 🔦, and the effect of filling 10 green bags will become clear in the morning! 🥳 Hopefully nobody leafs without noticing the difference. 🍃

We were due to help our friends at GROAD get their new venue ready at GreenWorks 🛠️. But Andrea got held up at their storage facility, so all we could manage was a spot of weeding outside. 🌿😅

But as GGers, when life gives you lemons 🍋... we head to the pub(for grown up lemonade)! The group finished early and made it to the social double quick, where Ben (despite his jet lag ✈️😴) had organised a quiz for us. It was a quizzical turn of events, but a wonderfully fun one!

GG Lambeth showed its competitive side (well, some of us did 👀), and our two teams took 1st 🥇 and 3rd 🥉 on the podium!! 🥳 Clearly we're as sharp with our brains as we are with our trowels 🧠
