We were due to help our friends at GROAD get their new venue ready at GreenWorks 🛠️. But Andrea got held up at their storage facility, so all we could manage was a spot of weeding outside. 🌿😅

But as GGers, when life gives you lemons 🍋... we head to the pub(for grown up lemonade)! The group finished early and made it to the social double quick, where Ben (despite his jet lag ✈️😴) had organised a quiz for us. It was a quizzical turn of events, but a wonderfully fun one!

GG Lambeth showed its competitive side (well, some of us did 👀), and our two teams took 1st 🥇 and 3rd 🥉 on the podium!! 🥳 Clearly we're as sharp with our brains as we are with our trowels 🧠

Join us next month at the social, when we'll be spending our winnings 💰 and making full use of the karaoke facilities 😱🎤🎙️ You have been warned!

A lovely evening, fun friends to share it with and another great task well done(ish)! 🧰❤️

Who was there: RJ 🌟, Amona 🌟, Yianny, Katie, Lucy, Tilly, Jo, Fi, Adam and Rich 💪🏼

🌟 = welcome to your first GoodGym session RJ & Amona we were delighted to have you with us, you rooted for us and it bloomed into a great night! 🌸🥰

Three legends rocked up for a proper garden glow-up at Wyck Gardens tonight — Yianny, Fi and Rich in the house! 🏃‍♂️💪🏼

The squad swung by LJ Works first to grab the water and hay barrows (essential kit for a hay-mazing evening 🌾), then set to work giving the young trees a well-deserved drink and tucking them in with a fresh blanket of compost and hay. Talk about tree-mendous care! 🌱🧰

Next up: log-istics. 🪵 The crew wheeled some seriously major logs back to LJ Works, laying the groundwork (quite literally) for the pond build that's coming soon — some lucky frogs are going to be very pleased 🐸🎉

A gorgeous evening, great company, and another job well toad! Big love to Fi and Rich for getting stuck in 🍾❤️

Same time next week? Water we thinking! 💦😄

Big shovel energy tonight at Holy Trinity, team! 💪🏼 One of our fave return fixtures — barrows loaded, wood mulch flying, and the orchard garden finally got the thirsty tree bases and borders the mulch they’d been begging for. Parched no more! 🌳💦

Squad on task: Adam, Ben, Fi, Katie, Michael, Rich and yours truly, Yianny. Absolute mulch-ines, the lot of them. 🍾

And because it was the end of the month, social snuck back into its rightful evening slot — chef’s kiss timing. 😊 Ben went full Bake Off with homemade feta parcels and veggie sausage rolls (someone give this man a task-and-tasting badge 🧰❤️), everyone else brought food and drink to match, and our host with the most, Tilly, ran a properly spirited round of Linkee that had brains and bellies both working overtime. 🤩

Thanks to Nicole and Adam for hosting us!

Mulch spread, minds boggled, tummies full — you really can’t beat a GoodGym Tuesday.

Another scorcher, another squad of good eggs trading the sofa for a sweat sesh with a purpose! This week the Lambeth crew rolled back into Wyck Forest Gardens to reunite with the legend that is Heather, on a mission critical, code-red, hosepipe-adjacent task: watering 🥵💦

Turns out the recent heat has had the garden gasping worse than us after the run over — and the young whips (the apple, pear and friends contingent 🍏🍐) were in serious need of some TLC before they wilted into fruit salad prematurely.

On the team sheet today: Adam West, Ark , Ben , Katie , Michael , Rich and Yianny — seven brilliant humans who showed up to sweat first, hydrate plants second 💪🏼

The mission, soggily accomplished:

• 🛒 Two full trolley runs — basically a shopping spree, except instead of snacks we were hauling watering cans
• 🐘 One epic showdown with the 120kg water beast — if you know, you know. Respect to Rich who wheeled that unit without needing their own rehydration break afterwards
• 🧰 A generous helping of compost TLC, because even dirt deserves a little love ❤️

Whips watered, trolleys wrangled, water beast tamed — Wyck Forest Gardens is looking noticeably less crispy thanks to this lot. Heather, we’ll see you again soon (bring backup water beasts) 🥵🌱

Huge thanks to everyone who turned out — you ran so the young whips didn’t have to wilt. Same time next week? 😊🍾
