Big shovel energy tonight at Holy Trinity, team! ๐ช๐ผ One of our fave return fixtures โ barrows loaded, wood mulch flying, and the orchard garden finally got the thirsty tree bases and borders the mulch theyโd been begging for. Parched no more! ๐ณ๐ฆ
Squad on task: Adam, Ben, Fi, Katie, Michael, Rich and yours truly, Yianny. Absolute mulch-ines, the lot of them. ๐พ
And because it was the end of the month, social snuck back into its rightful evening slot โ chefโs kiss timing. ๐ Ben went full Bake Off with homemade feta parcels and veggie sausage rolls (someone give this man a task-and-tasting badge ๐งฐโค๏ธ), everyone else brought food and drink to match, and our host with the most, Tilly, ran a properly spirited round of Linkee that had brains and bellies both working overtime. ๐คฉ
Thanks to Nicole and Adam for hosting us!
Mulch spread, minds boggled, tummies full โ you really canโt beat a GoodGym Tuesday.

Another scorcher, another squad of good eggs trading the sofa for a sweat sesh with a purpose! This week the Lambeth crew rolled back into Wyck Forest Gardens to reunite with the legend that is Heather, on a mission critical, code-red, hosepipe-adjacent task: watering ๐ฅต๐ฆ
Turns out the recent heat has had the garden gasping worse than us after the run over โ and the young whips (the apple, pear and friends contingent ๐๐) were in serious need of some TLC before they wilted into fruit salad prematurely.
On the team sheet today: Adam West, Ark , Ben , Katie , Michael , Rich and Yianny โ seven brilliant humans who showed up to sweat first, hydrate plants second ๐ช๐ผ
The mission, soggily accomplished:
โข ๐ Two full trolley runs โ basically a shopping spree, except instead of snacks we were hauling watering cans
โข ๐ One epic showdown with the 120kg water beast โ if you know, you know. Respect to Rich who wheeled that unit without needing their own rehydration break afterwards
โข ๐งฐ A generous helping of compost TLC, because even dirt deserves a little love โค๏ธ
Whips watered, trolleys wrangled, water beast tamed โ Wyck Forest Gardens is looking noticeably less crispy thanks to this lot. Heather, weโll see you again soon (bring backup water beasts) ๐ฅต๐ฑ
Huge thanks to everyone who turned out โ you ran so the young whips didnโt have to wilt. Same time next week? ๐๐พ

Tuesday night saw a cracking turnout as the GoodGym Lambeth crew rolled up (quite literally, in the case of several carpets) at Annickโs beloved waterworks allotments for an evening of heavy lifting, heavier furniture-breaking, and general green-fingered good deeds ๐ฑ๐ช๐ผ
The task at hand: rug rolling, shelf smashing, and some good old-fashioned digging about โ basically an extreme home makeover, allotment edition. Annickโs plot has never looked (or felt) so un-furnished ๐๏ธโก๏ธ๐๏ธ
On the team sheet tonight:
โข Ben Margerison โ hauling carpets like they owed him money
โข Michael Welsh โ bringing the muscle and the smiles
โข Katie Allan โ no stranger to a task, this Lambeth legend just keeps racking them up ๐
โข Tilly Baker Hine โ gardening gloves on, ready for anything
โข Jo Bowen โ allotment royalty for the evening
โข Dan โ 50 tasks deep and still showing up to demolish some furniture ๐จ
โข Fi โ sleeves rolled up, spirits high
โข Rich โ new face, instant legend
โข Libby Cannon โ welcome to the chaos, Libby! ๐
Between us we shifted more old stuff than a Sunday car boot sale, and left Annickโs allotment looking positively spring-cleaned ๐งนโจ
And because it was the last Tuesday of the month, work quickly turned to well-earned play โ the gang swapped trowels for pints and toasted a job well done at the social afterwards ๐พ๐ Nothing quite like bonding over a shared dislike of a particularly stubborn Billy bookcase.
Great work all round, Lambeth โ you moved mountains (of carpet) tonight! ๐ฅฐ

What a Tuesday evening to be alive โ and running! We had a gloriously large group join us tonight, with perfect weather rolling out the red carpet for our feet. Lacing up alongside regulars Fi, Jo, Michael, Ben, Tilly and Katie, we were thrilled to welcome back Rich and โ making his Lambeth group run debut โ the legendary George! ๐พ๐ช๐ผ First run done, George. Thereโs no going back now.
With an extra spring in our step (and an extra 3.6km each way to justify the post-run snacks ๐ ), we set off on a slightly longer route than usual โ and the group ate it up like it was nothing.
Our destination? The Weir Link, who were absolutely delighted to have us back. And honestly, the feeling was mutual โ because when we arrived, the tools and equipment were already waiting for us in the bin shed, like a beautifully organised welcome gift. No faff, no fuss โ just straight to the good stuff. ๐
Front and back, we got stuck in clearing out weeds and leaves to give the centre grounds a proper spruce-up. The weeds didnโt stand a chance against this lot. What they thought was job security turned out to be a very short-term contract. ๐๐ฑ
Big love to everyone who came out and gave their evening โ and their knees โ to make Lambeth a little greener. The Weir Link were over the moon to have us, and it shows just how much this community cares. โค๏ธ
See you on the next one! ๐
