WOW what a day...after arriving early despite the road closures we were greeted by Simon the organiser who gave us all tasks, most importantly to split into four groups, 2 x water and 2 x Lucozade. Good Gym took the water, we unpacked and unscrewed hundreds and hundreds of bottles and waited patiently for the first wheel chair rider to pass.
A whistle was heard and there he was, zooming past us. What seemed like a few moments later the first runners came past with a speedy Kenyan grabbing the first water whilst sprinting past us....the race had begun! A superb atmosphere and we received lots of thank u's from runners grabbing much needed water. Over two hours had past and thousands of waters handed out it was time to finish. A great task and perhaps 2020 I will be running again!
