35 excellent humans delivered 1,000 flyers for HelpAge Lambeth, completed a competitive point-to-point race and then ate pancakes

First up, big welcomes to Julia who is leading the charge down in Worthing. Brilliant warm up and fitness work from her this evening, as we showed her the ropes on how to be a model trainer. Or something.

Armed with 1,000 flyers, Lambeth was split into 5 teams. Each team had to complete a series of daring tasks and back it up with photographic evidence before returning to base.

The stakes were high: the winners would claim the mantle of February's Shit Prize of the Month (SPOTM) champions. Each team had to:

  • Deliver their batch of flyers
  • Visit 3 points spaced out across Lambeth
  • Stick a GoodGym sticker somewhere
  • Hand out a GG flyer and tell an unsuspecting passer-by about what we do
  • Find a new potential task
  • Take an excellent team photo

Katie and Alex remained at base with a pancake machine, ready to feed the troops on return home. It was a grand effort from everyone - special mention to Steve's team and their excellent phone box photo. Nice work.

Everyone enjoyed Julia's fitness session and the delicious pancake day. James's team were the winners of SPOTM, after a mighty 5 mile run. They picked up a fine selection of free hotel toiletries from Katie's recent trip to Myanmar. And all that's left to say is:

They think it's all Shrover....It is now!
