13 hardy Goodgymmer battled the icy conditions of a cold winter night to bring back a bit of green to their local park.

#GGWinterWarriors

Everyone who braved the weather last night to stand in the freezing wind for 30 minutes, beautifying and sprucing up a park out of the goodness of their hearts is a hero in my eyes so a round of applause for Rebecca, Dave, Nurjehan, Mike, Rita, Neil, Julie, Kapil, Rhiannon, Charlie, and Latoya. A special mention, however, is due to Shanni who made her glorious come back after having hurt her ankle at her last obstacle race adventure a few weeks back and she didn't even miss a beat - boom!

We REFUSED to give in to the cold

Our rugged adventurers ventured into the icy belly of the frozen storm and divided into two scouting parties. Rebecca led a walking expedition whilst I led a running troop around North London.

Eventually, we all congregated at Tottenham Green where we set off to fulfill our missions. Some of us cleared ivy, some of us gathered and binned fallen leaves, others dug up dandelions and thistles - all in preparation for Sunday's big Spring Bulbs planting extravaganza.

Our #GGWinterWarriors were impervious to the weather and got on with their tasks with steely determination. Such was their industriousness that their work attracted the attention and admiration of passerby and dog walkers.

There was even time for a BadGym task as it was poor Dave's turn to end up in a bin. This Haringey BadGym tradition seems to be gathering pace and gaining strength.

At the end, we all tried to defrost back at HQ with some planks, lunges and whatnot and headed back home in search of warmth with a spring in our step.

Come and join us next week for our second to last task of the decade! Still working out the details but we'll make sure it's a good one.

Also, there's a lovely community mission in need of some extra hands this weekend just up the road, do sign up if you can.

FINALLY, DON'T FORGET TO COME TO THE GOODGYM PARTY ON FRIDAY. I'LL BE THERE AND I NEED ADULT SUPERVISION AT ALL TIMES AND THAT IS, FRANKLY, A JOB FOR A FEW PEOPLE.
