Background to the event
Now in its sixth year, this popular community festival includes a lantern parade (made by local school children and community), a winter market, live music and dance, community feasts (free) and other community spirited events.
The festival organisers are in need of a few additional pairs of hands both during the daytime and in the evening.
What you need to know
Activity may include: general stewarding; helping out in lantern-making workshops; working with the stage crew; providing information about the festival and gaining evaluation from audiences; supporting the team to manage the parade route...
You may drop-in to volunteer any time between 9am - 6pm - the organisers just request a minimum 2-hour commitment.
We will be in touch closer to the time to establish what time you'll be arriving, in order to provide you with a written brief and an allocated time slot to be briefed on arrival.
