The Friends of Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park
The Friends are an independent charity responsible for managing Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park, a unique and vital nature reserve and heritage site in East London. Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park offers everyone a breathing space in the heart of East London. This woodland cemetery is a unique place of transformation: a people’s cemetery, a place for remembrance, a sanctuary for humans as well as nature, a place for festivals, field studies and forest schools. Always changing with the seasons, it is rooted in the history of the East End, a place of rich heritage that is full of possibilities and freedom for all.

We're back to the beautiful Cemetery Park for our May visit! Tonight we'll be helping Park Manager Ken with some seasonal gardening as the Park prepares for a busy summer.

Always a fun and scenic night out, do come and join for a Monday night workout with a difference. (You can read how we got on at our February visit to the park here).

Everything you need to know (please note: slight change to regular timings)

  • We will be meeting at The Soanes Centre off Southern Grove at 6:25pm for a pre-task workout.

  • If you would rather join for task-only, we will be meeting Park Manager Ken at 6:40pm, same location, for the task briefing.

  • The task will run from 6:45pm -7:45pm, when we'll start clearing away for an 8pm finish.
