Five of us ran and cycled to St Nick's Environment Centre on a chilly but sunny Sunday morning to help set up for their autumn fayre. The first job was transporting and erecting gazebos. Once they were in their allocated spot Dom, Tay, Cara and Anna put them up while Laura helped get some surprisingly heavy recycled plastic picnic benches on and off vehicles to transport to the meadow area. For the second half of the task we helped prepare apples for juicing, washing, chopping and cutting out the rotten bits out. Dom enjoyed getting to know the various live creatures we found inside some of the cores. We finished the task by problem solving how to keep the chopped apples under the water until the start of the event.
