For the first time since forever it seems (February to be accurate) Good Gym Liverpool did a Mission in the community. Pauline and Matthew went to the house of the recipients to move a sofa so a hospital bed could be put in the downstairs lounge and S's Mum could then come home from hospital. After Pauline managed to pull the sofa apart into its three constituent parts it was then a simple job of carrying the pieces upstairs. In all it took about fifteen minutes and once it was done S. had the biggest grin on his face as he knew his Mum would be coming home soon. It really makes it worthwhile being a volunteer with Good Gym when you see a result like this. Jo, another Liverpool GG'er quoted a really relevant statement: "We can't do all the good in the world but the world needs all the good we can do."
