23:30 - 01:15This year the GoodGym January Challenge is based on achieving the highest amount of kilometres we can as a city and adding that to our group's total amount.
We are in the 'Ayesha McGowan' (an aspiring professional road cyclist, advocate, and creator) group alongside 6 other GoodGym areas (Lewisham, Hammersmith and Fulham, Newham, Poole, Barnet and Warwick and Lemington Spa)
For our contribution to our group's total tally of km's, let's try and target a set number of KMs each.
You can walk, run, cycle (or all three). NB. if cycling, every 4km equates to 1km for the total tally.
You can do these km's anytime you want, however, you might wish to spread them out over the course of the month in order to keep the momentum going and to give yourself enough time to recover.
Please note you must link your Strava account to your Goodgym profile and also track each km for it to count (tracking is via Strava).
So here are your distances (when you sign up - please state in the comments field which distance you are going for).
25 km (16 miles) 50 km (31 miles) 75 km (47 miles) 100 km (62 miles) 125 km (78 miles) 150 km (93 miles) 175 km (108 miles) 200 km (124 miles) 400km (248 miles)
If we can do some of these kms as a group, abiding by the government guidelines, then that is even better!
You could also consider combining this challenge with RED January (@REDJanuaryUK) which is a challenge that encourages you to get active every day, to ‘beat the blues away' whilst also raising funds for @SportinMind --> https://www.joinredjan.co.uk/teams?teamid=5feaf87c2251af07347ced7f
