We are a small charity with limited resources, so jobs like this often fall by the wayside. It helps us to continue to focus on our core work, but also with compost, it means we can have less inputs and save money

After a last minute cancellation, Beth at Bedford Fields stepped up and held a session for us tonight. We really appreciate it, thank you!
After a moonlit run across the ridge, we got to work. Helen and Rachel moved soil into bags, Kat & I litter picked & Analise & Lydia cleared many, many leaves from the entrance. We finished off by clearing and bagging leaves from the street leading up to Bedford Fields.
Well done to Kat on her 90th mission & to Rachael on her 80th tonight. You two are amazing, thanks for all you do for GoodGym Leeds!

On my 150th good deed, we met at Heart and Helen took the group on a 4.5K run through Beckett Park on the way to Shire Oaks primary school. We were there to finish off the painting for the sensory garden that we started in September. Jason arrived early to take apart an old bench (thank you) & then spent most of the session up a ladder! We managed to get the second coat of paint on the walls in good time and it looks loads better! Janie gave us flapjack & tea...we're not used to this kind of service. Thank you!

We ran to and from HEART to Meanwood Valley Farm making the most of the twilight before our Wednesday evening GoodGym tasks will be done in the dark. Christian brought along Andrea who has promised to bring us all Pastel de Natas next time! Mike met us at the farm and split us into 3 groups to work on the maturing compost heaps; 'terminating' the flower beds; and tackling the tomatoes in the (poly) tunnels. We managed to say hello to the alpacas in the dusk who we learned are brothers who have loud arguments and upset the neighbours! We heard them bickering later! We, however all got on famously, as usual!
