Work experience for KS4 students at John Mason School has been cancelled two years in a row thanks to the coronavirus, and so the school decided to build up a 'Human Library' to help guide the teenagers in career ideas/choices. The library will be a series of videos where people explain about their job and answer all the burning questions students might most want to know about it.

GoodGym members from all over the UK answered Samantha's call for help, filming explanations of careers including bush craft teacher, solicitor, social prescriber, working in HR, mechanical engineer, and SO many more.

The videos which came in early have already been shown to a tutor group at the school.

They've been really engaging, and it's fascinating to hear about all the different jobs you are all involved in!

All of the videos will be uploaded onto the secure KS4 google classroom, so that those who cannot be in school can also access them.

Thank you for supporting young people and for ensuring that their Information and Guidance (IAG) education continues, despite the difficulties presented by the pandemic.

If you haven't had a chance to do your video yet it's not too late to send it in. Please email videos to: samantha.drewett@johnmason.oxon.sch.uk
